Colin Kaepernick Promotes Claim That VP Pence Walked Out of NFL Game Because of ‘White Supremacy’

Mike Pence walked out of an NFL game Sunday afternoon in response to players sitting for the anthem. Pence said in a statement that he dosen’t “think it’s too much to ask” NFL players to stand for the anthem:

While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don’t think it’s too much to ask NFL players to respect the Flag and our National Anthem. I stand with President Trump, I stand with our soldiers, and I will always stand for our Flag and our National Anthem.

President Trump, who has been feuding with the NFL for weeks over the protests, agreed with the decision. The protests were sparked last year when Colin Kaepernick began to sit out and take a knee for the protests. One of the 49ers players who kneeled, Eric Reid, called the vice president’s protest a “PR stunt” and said that “this is what systemic oppression looks like.”

Kaepernick went a step further in response to the vice president.

On his personal Twitter account, Kaepernick promoted the idea that Pence was practicing “white supremacy” on his walkout and that he and President Trump are more offended by “Black NFL players” than “domestic white terrorism.” Kaepernick retweeted the sentiments below:
